September 23, 2012, Sunday : Bagares Apartment

Started: Untimed

Today , I have decided to finally start a Journal through a blog and I'm going to schedule it 5 years from now. Isn't that fun? I will be reading my post after five years and who knows what will happen to me after opening this time capsule?

Well, I started writing a Journal when I was in 2nd Year High School after I was encouraged through our Technical Writing class by Sir. Nunez. He taught me freehand writing and I gained interest in recording the daily events of my life. It was more like that I write what I feel that day and what happened.

What happened today:
5 years ago, this  very same day September 23, 2012, I woke up as early as 5:00AM because my body is already conditioned thanks to my practice teaching at Iligan City National High School. And then I went to the Youth Camp at Villaverde. Looking at the money I have at hand, it was just enough for me to travel a roundtrip jeepney ride.

I went there to simply show my support and I said to myself that just like a newly hatched butterfly , they must learn to spread their own wings or they wont learn to fly at all. It was a bit far from the highway riding the padyak-padyak or tricycle because I went down near the Gaisano Mall.

Iligan City Road, Sept 23, 2012 Fiesta Season
I took a photo of the street so I could also post it in my Facebook page to encourage my friends to participate for the Diyandi Festival Series of Activities. It was a bit funny though coz many vehicles were on the road but I took a little risk to have it taken at the center.

Syrah, hugged me first and I was so happy seeing them after a long time. I felt like I was lacking joy inside and that must have been because I am carrying lots of baggage with me which includes finding a job and finishing my practice teaching. We had a little chat with mamang and papang and I shared to them these issues.
Jhonas sitting like a monkey on the talisay tree ( haha)
After a while, I checked on those assigned the food committee. I actually don't know how to cook but I was so happy that I was given opportunity to do the marketing and even assisting in cooking everytime we have retreats or caps during my college days.

The new generation of Cooks
Specialty: Fried Egg and Hotdog
I did miss talking to them and they always tell me how much they miss my corny - very corny jokes. I admit it, they are people who really laughs at my lines because of the reason I mentioned earlier. Not only that, It's Raffy whom they said who replaced me on my throne as Corny King.
Participants of the camp eating their breakfast

We also went to the coastal waters for water refill and when we went back they were already eating their breakfast. I said to them repeatedly that I had eaten already so they gave me a chocolate drink instead and I guess I have no reason to decline their offer.

Left to right: Daphne, Jepoy, Arby, Me, Dom, Cacay

Our chats lead me to realize that I'm already a Decade in the community last August 11, 2012. Isang dekada na ako! To have seen them grow brings me so much happiness already. Most of them will be graduating this school year and they will be at another crossroad of their lives.

New Generation of Langyaw
It was just like yesterday when we were the ones giving the talks, the ice breakers and playing the instruments, but now, here they are. Praise God indeed. :) Our campus dream which is "A renewed society in Christ through the campuses." is little by little being realized. I pray that whatever path we all choose, may it be for His glory.

I went home together with Jeun and he was concerned about finishing his thesis. We also had a chat about Maribeth that she's on the final lap of her review for next week's LET examination. Many YFCs who took Medicine at MSU will also be finishing this school year. Time sails so fast indeed.

High School students waiting for their turn to take the MSU-SASE
I stopped by at the overpass to take a picture of these students. Today is the MSU-SASE wherein students will have the chance to study at the University System. It reminded me of why I had chosen to study in Iligan.

This day is a great day indeed. I have 21 Lesson Plans to produce but all day, I spent it writing this blog and    doing Facebook.
